Question from Kim regarding previous messages about impatience: Why are we so determined to have a backup plan?

Message: The question that we would ask is, do you believe that you will be given a parachute so that you may have a soft landing in the field of life? Most people don’t trust that they will be given a parachute, or that they will land in a soft field vs a hedge filled with thorns. For that reason, many people who set goals, or take action toward their goals, create a “backup plan” for the eventualities that might occur.

However, the ego creates a mine field of opportunities for imagination to run wild, creating so many possibilities that the person often loses sight of their original goal. So, you always identify your goal, but then, when you create the options, it can be healthy to identify one or two other avenues in the event that your goals are not manifested as desired.

What is the nature of humanity? That you imagine you are walking down a perfect path in a perfect life which will end at a calm harbor with a yacht waiting in which you will sail off into calm waters. And, what a boring life that would be. For those with adventurous hearts and caring natures, they stop along the way to help others, they take detours, and they embrace the change which occurs with every turn of the path. Yes, there will be brambles, thorns, etc. But there will be consciousness-raising experiences to delight and surprise. We welcome and embrace the surprises and unexpected turns in the path and we hope that you will, too.

Question: “Please also have them elaborate on the idea that a course of action has been blocked or dead-ended. Why would this be the case?” The message said: “Where there is a desire which is not fulfilled, there is a course of action that has been taken and dead-ended or blocked.”

Message:  This message assumes that the individual has taken a course of action toward their desired goal, and they are disappointed that they have not been able to manifest their desire.  In this case, we suggest that you examine your motives in wanting to achieve that particular goal and reassess the situation. What do you perceive is standing in the way of achieving your goal, what is happening in your life that you might not be noticing, and what is your heart telling you with regard to the goal you wish to reach?

Emotions play an important part in this type of situation, where an individual may be so focused on achieving their goal that they are not in touch with sensory aspects of the experience. We suggest that you stop and reconnect with your senses and ask yourself, what am I feeling about this and what are my emotions telling me about this? This also requires that you be truthful with yourself, and with some introspection, you may decide that a different path is in order.
