A few weeks ago, I received an invitation to a school reunion and put it aside. I just found it under a stack of other paperwork. As I dropped it in the recycle bag, I thought to myself that I will never attend this or any other school reunion because I’m not that person. The thought of even beginning to explain myself is too daunting.

In fact, I’m so different from the person that I was when I graduated from school, that it’s as if I’ve transmuted into another personality, with different interests, reactions, perspectives, and desires. To attend a reunion where people remembered me from that time would be like wearing a mask that I couldn’t remove.

On a similar note, I’ve observed that when I go out to shop in my neighborhood, I’m greeted and treated according to the way I appear (of course!). And yet, behind this middle-aged facade is someone who is very different from the appearance.

So I wonder – what would I look like if my appearance reflected my soul to others?

My Question: Do most people transform as they grow older or is my experience unusual? And, what can we do to conquer the disparity between appearance and soul essence so that we can be recognized and interact with others more genuinely?

Message:

You are referring to an aspect of consciousness that embraces the planetary energies and applies to those who are marked for growth in a particular lifetime. When a ‘seed’ is planted via genetic identification, it is marked for certain experiences, such as consciousness expansion, 3-D interactions, and consequences of karmic substance which propel the soul along their chosen path.

When an individual arrives on the planet, they are already embedded in their life pattern, which nudges them along to have the experiences and interactions meant to provide them with the necessary fertile soil for soul growth.

Your lifetime on the planet is a circular experience providing opportunities for soul growth and interactions which will continue beyond this perceived timeline, and have already extended beyond ancestral perimeters.

The appearance and nature of an individual does reflect and assist in the experiences they are destined to have; they shape the individual in terms of self-perception and how others interact with them. You are meant to have the human “mask” that you see in the mirror. But this does not limit you from expressing your true nature, which you do when you articulate your thoughts and feelings.
